Fitting In is Pointless

If you take a look at history, the most celebrated individuals are the ones that shared their unique self with the rest of the world. They laid a foundation that others copied, they didn't follow a path that everyone else did. Many people want to be special, but forget that they already are.
We are all unique, and have something amazing within us. What is it? Who knows? The only way to find out is to look within. Some people love to cook, others to paint, others crunch numbers, others destroy. The diversity of talents and passions is the reason we have such an awesome world (remember awesome isn't always a good thing). We're all trying to find our place in the world, but what we end up doing is determining our place amongst other people. When our lives are created in comparison to others, we're destined to be miserable, because there will always be someone else in a 'better' situation than us. Instead we'll be better off finding something that excites us so much, that we'll do it, whether anyone else is paying attention or not.
Validation is a hellava drug, but a drug none the less. There is no normal, no matter what others may tell you; there's only common, and even 'common' changes depending on where you are in the world.
Figure out who you are, and be that, then find people who appreciate you for that. Life will feel much better this way.
